盘锦：辽东湾新区推进征信服务建设

ABU DHABI, 20th December, 2022 (WAM) -- The Emirates News Agency (WAM) has participated in the second council meeting of the Belt and Road News Network (BRNN) , which was held via videoconferencing.

Faisal Barout, Director of WAM’s Central Editorial Department, represented WAM at the meeting, which took place in China, with the participation of 38 media outlets from 23 countries.

During the meeting, Tuo Zhen, President of China's People's Daily newspaper, presented a report on the work of the Belt and Road News Network, while the participating representatives shared opinions and suggestions on how to enhance the role of the Alliance and promote intercultural exchanges and communication between peoples of the world.

The Belt and Road News Network, whose board is chaired by the People's Daily newspaper, launched a new award that included six categories, namely the In-depth News Report Award, the Best Commentary Award, the Best Press Photo Award, the Best Press Video Award, the COVID-19 Short Video Award, and the Special Contributions Award.

Participants in the meeting stressed that these awards encourage media outlets in Belt and Road countries to benefit from each other’s experiences.

The first council meeting of the Belt and Road News Network was held in April 2019.
